Turtle Challenge 3: Create a story for us that can be scripted for video
ARCHELON needs you! We are asking all volunteers, their friends, their kids, nieces and nephews, even grand kids to help us. With your own inspiration and imagination we will create a fun+ adventure video that will be shot at the Rescue Center. It is our antidote to the pandemic!

There are currently 19 injured or sick turtles at the Turtle Rescue Center of ARCHELON. They are taken care of by Irini Kasimati, the Rescue and Rehabilitation Officer, together with her assistant Michalis Moraitis and 6 volunteers from different parts of the world. But it is true that the presence of children and visitors is very much missed and the environmental education wagons remain empty and silent.
We spoke with Dimitris Fytilis, the Rescue Center Officer on this issue. "We have a lot of work to do with treating, feeding and cleaning the turtles every day, but we miss the children and the visitors," he told us. "Fluffy and Feta and other cats are regularly visiting, sparrows and gulls are also here, but winter is the season for company and we do not have any. We need something to cheer us up again, we need stories from our friends. Could you, perhaps, develop some?" he asked me.

So here comes Turtle-challenge 3. We need your ideas for an action story, which will unfold in the 3rd marina of Glyfada, in the boats that are there, on the neighboring beach, maybe at the Old Town Hall and of course at the Rescue Center with the sea turtles. Imagine one or two heroes entering the Rescue Center for some reason. What could be the reason? Who will they meet there? Invent an obstacle, a mischief or an overturn and its evolution. An adventure that will entertain you, with a beginning, a middle and an end.

We will choose the most entertaining story and turn it into a script, sounds and images in the video. Maybe we can combine more than one stories. There is a surprise gift for all the stories that will be distinguished and we will publish them on our page. And of course, we will invite you to the e-premiere!
In case you do not know enough about the Sea Turtle Rescue Center of ARCHELON, learn about the Rescue Centre and watch the announcements and short videos on our facebook page to get ideas. We will help you by publishing new images with the indication # TURTLE CHALLENGE3.
