The Annual General Assembly of the Association
In accordance with article 8 of the Statutes of the ARCHELON Association, the members were invited to attend the Annual General Assembly on Saturday, February 28, 2026 at the ARCHELON Sea Turtle Rescue Centre, 3rd Marina of Glyfada. According to the Agenda, the General Assembly elected an Election Committee to conduct elections.
Subsequently, the Annual Report and the Financial Report of the Board of Directors and the report of the Audit Committee for 2025 were presented to the Assembly. After the clarifying questions, the General Assembly approved the discharge of the Board of Directors and the Audit Committee for the fiscal year 2025. The Planning and Budget for 2026 were also presented and discussed.
During the elections, the new members of the Board of Directors and the Audit Committee were elected for the next two years. The new Board of Directors was formed as follows:
President: Thomas Arapis
Vice President: George Valais
Treasurer: Alexis Sachinidis
Secretary: Lenio Margaritouli
Councilors: Dimitris Dimopoulos, Rania Spyropoulou, George Chiras
At the end of the General Assembly, the traditional Vasilopita was also cut!
