Archelonʼs Second Meeting With The 8th Primary Public School Of Glyfada Regarding The “Fishermen & Sea Turtles” Program
Also, to end the activity, was a visit to the port of Glyfada, where the children interviewed professional fishermen and took the chance to observe fishery equipment and boats up close. The questions, which were made with great innocence and honesty, were actually very interesting and meaningful. Some of them below regarding:
- Have you ever heard of the S.T.R.C in Glyfada? - Do you observe any Sea Turtles while you fish? - If you found an injured sea turtle, what would you do? - How long have you been involved in fishing? Are you fulfilled by your job? - Would you like it if your children decide to follow it in the future?
and many more similar questions.
The ARCHELON pilot program regarding “Fishermen & Sea Turtles” is to be continued, expecting a third meeting between the mentioned school and ARCHELON next month.
This time it will be held in the Sea Turtle Rescue Centre, at the 3rd Marina of Glyfada.
