TUI Hellas and ARCHELON
During the cruise, the visitors are informed about Loggerhead (Caretta caretta) Sea Turtles, their habitat of Laganas Bay and the challenges that they face as a species.
In case of a turtle encounter, ARCHELON volunteers answer visitors’ questions and provide detailed facts regarding their behaviour and morphology.
In the 2015 period, more than 5000 participants were informed about the Sea Turtles in Zakynthos.
TUI Hellas kindly made a donation of €6000 for the support of the Zakynthos project. This helps significantly in funding the scientific work and the coverage of operational costs of the research program.
We would like to thank TUI Hellas for this generous donation and we are sure we will have such a successful partnership also in the coming season.
