Summer 2025: Lead the Way in Sea Turtle Conservation and become a Field Leader with ARCHELON!
For over 40 years now, ARCHELON operates 7 Sea Turtle Conservation Projects on the main nesting beaches in Greece every summer. Run by volunteers from around the world, the Projects involve monitoring and protecting the reproduction of loggerhead sea turtles and raising public awareness about nesting beaches.
Field Leaders are experienced and skilled individuals that are selected to lead different activities on each Project. Field Leaders undertake tasks and responsibilities that ensure the high quality of work done by the other volunteers.
“ARCHELON is an incredible organization and everyone who has participated should be incredibly proud of themselves for all the commitment and hard work! It’s my favorite place in the world and I can’t wait to go back next year!”, comments a Field Leader from last summer. “I really enjoyed my time as a volunteer Field Leader in ARCHELON and I am really looking forward to come back in the future!”, says another.

A limited number of experienced and capable volunteers are selected each year for the positions of Field Leaders on the ARCHELON projects. Applications and short CVs for 2025 are now accepted!
