Educational Programs 2024-2025: Inspire the Next Generation of Conservationists with ARCHELON!
For almost four decades, ARCHELON has been igniting young minds with a passion for the natural world. Our educational programs, approved by the Ministry of Education, have turned the loggerhead sea turtle into a beloved symbol of Greece's precious biodiversity.
Last year, 15,000 students arrived at the Rescue Centre and were fascinated by the wonders of sea turtle conservation.
The students of the bustling and numerous in classes schools of Attica had the unique opportunity to meet our patients up close with a live visit at the Sea Turtle Rescue Center, while the students of the few in students and classes remote schools in mountainous or island areas, such as Epirus, Lesvos and Amorgos by taking an online tour. Our programs for the first time traveled abroad, to the Greek schools of Brussels and Utrecht and international schools in Switzerland and England.

We were deeply moved by the compassion and commitment shown by these young environmentalists, who raised about €20,000 in donations to support our efforts in rescuing and rehabilitating Greece's injured turtles. Their generosity is a testament to the power of education and the importance of cultivating a meaningful relationship with nature.
Are you ready to inspire your students?
Bookings for educational visits for the school year 2024-2025 are made only online through our webpage (www.archelon.gr). The reservation system will open on the 11th of September along with the start of the school year in Greece! For the first time, teachers will have the opportunity to choose between 3 different educational programs! Immerse your class in the world of sea turtles and cultivate a lifelong appreciation for our planet.

Book your school visit (Bookings for online tours for schools outside Attica region will be announced in October.)
Together, we can create a brighter future for sea turtles and our planet.
