ARCHELON an active participant in Street Relays 2017

Teamwork- Sports- Health- Wish

Street Relays Gr is a new innovative series of street relay races, which appeal to everybody regardless of their physical condition, and for the first time competitive and mass sports can coincide and coexist.

They stand out from all other competitions as the only one whose income from participants’ registration is aimed to reinforce social institutions and the philosophy to have them carried out in central points and in circular routes, gives the opportunity to create a festive and entertaining atmosphere with the escort of music.

Of course ARCHELON could not be absent from an initiative like this, so the organization with its volunteers dynamically participated in the Glyfada Street Relays 2017 on Sunday, April 9th 2017. With Massimo Snoeck and Anton Kristiansson in the individual running 10 km races and Dionysis Arvanitakis, Sevasti Kapota, Giorgos Valais and Elly Tarabe in the 4x2500 relay, ARCHELON managed to finish in very good positions on the rankings and we are very proud of their effort!

One of the participants, a very valuable and always active volunteer of ARCHELON, Sevasti Kapota, describes her experience: “Teamwork- Sports- Health- Wish Using these four words I could describe the feeling I had participating in Street Relays for one more year. Something so simple that brings people together for a good cause, but not only that. One runs for physical and mental expansion, and the best part? When you race with your teammates for such a cause, you run putting all of your soul into it. That is what I did, I tried giving my all and I hope I helped at least a little bit in fulfilling a wish”.
