2025 Projects: Is it your turn to save the sea turtles?

ARCHELON is thrilled to announce the volunteering projects for 2025. If you're passionate about nature conservation and eager to make a positive impact, we invite you to join our dedicated team of volunteers.
Join our mission and:
- Protect sea turtles & their natural habitats: Contribute to the survival of sea turtles by monitoring their nesting activity, assisting with protection measures, and ensuring hatchlings safely reach the sea.
- Gain field experience & valuable skills: From data collection and sea turtle tagging to communication with a large audience and environmental education, ARCHELON projects can help you build the necessary tools for your future career.
- Promote sustainability & raise public awareness: Educate visitors about the threats facing sea turtles and how they can help through raising public awareness and spreading a sense of care for our planet.
- Build international communities & collaborations: Network with like-minded people around the globe and build strong connections through a meaningful experience.
ARCHELON welcomes volunteers from all over the world and of all ages and backgrounds. No prior experience is necessary. If you speak English, are at least 18 years old and in good physical condition you can go for it! We are seeking volunteers to join our projects in:
- The Peloponnese - Lakonikos Bay, Koroni, and Kyparissia Bay (May - September 2025): Protect some of the most important nesting beaches of the Loggerhead in the Mediterranean.
- Crete - Messara Bay, Chania, and Rethymno (May - October 2025): Raise awareness and preserve a unique sea turtle population that lives among a touristic haven.
