HOW TO HELP

As a teacher or a group leader

Since 1985 ARCHELON has been carrying out a multifaceted educational project all over Greece, approved by the Ministry of Education and based on modern pedagogical methods. Thus the Loggerhead (Caretta caretta) has become the most popular example of wildlife in our country and a symbol of life threatened by extinction.

The aim of the Programme for Environmental Awareness is, to use the turtle as an example to better illustrate how nature works and that humans are an integral part of nature.

The Programme is carried out by trained staff of the Society, most of whom are also involved in fieldwork on the nesting beaches.
