If you find a dead sea turtle
If the turtle is dead, please notify:
- ARCHELON Rescue Network +30 6941511511
- the local Coast Guard (see the inventory of Coastal Guard stations) which can assist, within the framework of its capabilities
Attention! All turtles should be handled carefully. It is possible that a turtle appears dead, but is in fact simply in a state of hibernation, especially during the cold months.

If the animal carries a tag, then it must be removed by the relevant Local Government and sent to ARCHELON. Attention: This only applies to animals that are not alive.

Send some photos of the animal and especially of its wounds to ARCHELON with a google maps link of the location the animals was found via email at rescue@archelon.gr & rescue.archelon@gmail.com

When the above procedures are completed, ARCHELON will notify the responsible Local Government for collection and landfill of the body.
