17th November 2015 - Visit of ARCHELON volunteers in the Polytechnic College
In the context of the celebration of the uprising of the students in Polytechnic College back in 1973, the volunteers of ARCHELON pay a visit in the historical place in order to see the place that the uprising took place, to get to know the Greek history and get the general feeling of this. The volunteers visited also the photo exhibition referring on that times and watched the historic documentary in Gini room. The volunteers showed great interest in the history of Greece.
The volunteers of ARCHELON are staying at the Sea Turtle Rescue Center for minimum 4 weeks. ARCHELON also hosts long term volunteers in the context of EVS (European Voluntary Service) ERASMUS+ programme. In the visit of the Polytechnic College we had Antoine from France and Lucas from Sweden. We also had Susanna from Portugal who decided to stay for longer (while her EVS programme had already finished). Apart from the EVS volunteers we had with us Klervi from France and Kevin from USA.
