ARCHELON invites kids and adults to celebrate the environment and the sea in an exciting way at the "Sea Turtle Festival" on Saturday, May 27 at the Sea Turtle Rescue Centre in the 3rd Marina of Glyfada. The celebration will be a unique opportunity for them to get to know the largest hospital in the Mediterranean for injured and sick turtles that are transported from the Greek coastline, with guided tours and many interactive events and activities!

This year, the theme of the Festival is the migration of sea turtles, and more specifically, the journeys of the Loggerhead turtle in the Mediterranean. The inspiration for the festivities has to do with the real journeys of "Ella", the turtle, which was spotted nesting in Kyparissia Bay in 2019 and was hence followed by the people of ARCHELON in its Mediterranean adventures for 2 years.

We invite all our little friends to travel with "Ella" on a Hidden Treasure Hunt with riddles and prizes, full of sea, colours, games and surprises! At the same time, everyone will have the opportunity to get to know the sea turtles that are currently treated and cared for at the Centre.

During the event, two main activities will take place with a group call, regardless of the games, at specific times:

• 12:30 Live connection to a nesting beach "waiting for the first nest of 2023!"

• 13:00 Theatrical Sketches by the "Parodos" Art Group on the theme of the Sea.

The event will take place on Saturday, May 27, 11:00 - 14:00, at the ARCHELON Sea Turtle Rescue Centre, 3rd Marina of Glyfada (Tram Stop "Palaio Dimarcheio").

It is possible for children to participate in the English language as well.
