The creativity of #turtlechallenge4 will accompany the 2022 ARCHELON projects on the sea turtle nesting beaches.
Αt last #turtlechallenge4 is completed! The activity was launched by ARCHELON in December 2021 and was communicated to all school units through the Ministry of Education. we received the creative outcome of 18 kindergarten units, 22 elementary school units (ages 6-9y and 10-12y) and 55 gymnasium students (ages 12-15y), who work alone or in groups and with the help of their parents and/or teachers.
The diversity of submissions was remarkable. We received stories with text only, illustrated stories, comic books, drawings, poems, songs, videos with live performances and graphic videos.
“About 400 students and teachers became involved in this educational activity, from all over Greece”, says Anastasia Samartzi, the Education Officer of ARCHELON. “It was an open theme and anyone could submit their idea in any form, so the #turtle-challenge4 Team had to engage in hard but very rewarding work” she added smilingly.
This material will be used for communicating in public awareness activities near the sea turtle nesting beaches, this summer. “We warmly thank all respondents for sending their work and also the people who helped in the management of this activity” says Elly Tarabe, the Communication Officer of ARCHELON.
